Toronto, Canada (May 18, 2016) - Paul Bronfman, Chairman/CEO of Comweb Corp. and leading equipment provider, William F. White International Inc. announced today that William F. White Calgary is officially open for business as anchor tenant at the long-awaited $28-million Calgary Film Centre (CFC). 

Situated in the southeastern portion of the city, William F. White Calgary offers a full-range of professional production related support services, and occupies 20,000 square feet of space within the newly-opened 85,000 square foot centre.  Located just 15 minutes from downtown, the facility comes fully-equipped with three full-service loading bays which run adjacent to CFC’s three purpose-built soundstages, making it an ideal location for local, indigenous and international productions.     

“We are thrilled to be taking our place as anchor tenant,” states Bronfman. “This represents the realization of a more than two-decade-old dream which will help bring Calgary into the forefront as an all-encompassing shooting destination.  It’s definitely a significant step in the right direction toward attracting more homegrown, American and international productions to the city on a year-round basis.”

“Without the $1-million investment from William F. White, this project wouldn’t have come to fruition,” said Luke Azevedo, Calgary Commissioner for Film, TV and Creative Industries.  “It is their generosity and belief in the future that triggered further investment from Calgary Economic Development as well as the City of Calgary and the Government of Alberta.”

William F. White Calgary will continue to provide its client base with access to world-class, state-of-the-art production tools while offering expanded products and services, including the very latest in technological advances.

“Hell on Wheels,” “Heartland,” “Fargo,” “Interstellar,” “Inception,” including Oscar-winners, “Brokeback Mountain,” and “The Revenant.”
