William F. White Clients Awarded 18 Trophies at 17th Annual DGC Awards
On Saturday, October 20th, the 17th Annual Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) Awards were presented at a star-studded event held at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. Productions provided with Lighting & Grip, Camera, Specialty Equipment and LES were awarded 18 trophies throughout the evening.
The Grizzlies, which filmed with lighting and grip and location support from our Toronto location, won for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film.
The Shape of Water, with lighting and grip, specialty equipment location support from our Toronto office, won for Best Production Design, Best Picture Editing and Best Sound Editing, while The Handmaid’s Tale, also with lighting and grip, specialty equipment and location support from our Toronto office, won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series and Best Picture Editing in Television Series.
Fargo, with lighting and grip and specialty equipment from our Calgary location, won for Best Production Design in Television Series, while Cardinal: Blackfly, with lighting and grip, camera, specialty equipment and location support from our Sudbury location won the Best Sound Editing in Television Series. As well, Heartland, with lighting and grip and specialty equipment from our Calgary location, won Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Family Series.
